BABG Atlanta enjoys participation from every corner of its membership, and the committees are a good example of areas of the organization ultimately managed by volunteers.  We welcome interest from any member who would like to get involved with committees, or any of the event subcommittees such as the Gala, Xmas Lunch, Golf Day or Garden Party. Initiatives Spotlight

 

 

BABG is a community of like minded professionals with a British related interest.  What do communities do when the going gets tough – they pull together and pull for each other.

 

Recession Busters is an initiative and campaign designed to help every BABG member with the research, networking and introductions needed to regain employment should he/she be unfortunate to be caught in the economic downturn. 

 

Bottom line, the Recession Busters program will focus on providing effective access to the BABG and BABC networks, and where possible to open doors to make introductions and provide referrals for members. This initiative will provide additional support to our membership to help us through this recession.

 

If you would like to access the service and connect with the Recession Busters committee, please download and complete this Recession Busters document, then forward to exec@babg.org .  Also see instructions below for researching our large network via the BABG and BABC databases.  Remember you must be (or have been) an active member to access these database and this service.

Accessing the BABG Database

  
To access and search the BABG Atlanta database:
 

First Step - the login process ...
Go to:

https://netforum.avectra.com/eWeb/DynamicPage.aspx?Site=BABG&WebCode=LoginRequired

 
Enter your email address & password.  If you do not have a password or would like to change it to one of your own choice ... click on: “Forgot your password”.


This will cause an email with instructions to be sent to you, allowing you to change your password to one of your own choice. You can then update your profile page as needed.
 

Second Step - searching the BABG database:
Members are setup as either "Individuals" (Individual members) or "Organizations" (Sponsors, Large Corporate, Small Corporate members) - a separate search is required for each group. In the list on the left hand side of the screen you should see "Individual Search" and "Organization Search" - click on either, the process is the same.
Tip: For a complete list, click on the drop-down list for "country" and enter "United States", then click "search".

Accessing the BABC Database
To access and search the BABC database (4,000+ members in 23 chapters throughout the US & UK):

Go to http://www.babc.org

 
On the left hand side of the screen, click on "Membership Directory"
The standard login (called "member key") and password is your first initial plus lastname and the initial password is "babg" in lower case. Occasionally when duplicate names exist, the login will be "first name" + "lastname".
 

For example, Mary Smith would login as: 
 

Login: msmith Password: babg
OR in exceptional cases as
Login: marysmith Password: babg
 

You can also click on "Forgot Password" link where you will be prompted for name email and organization. The system will email your ID if you are in the BABC system.
